    My blog is a creation of an overactive, creative mind, dive in if you dare. I am a scientist at heart but that does not stop me from looking at the many other things that are fun to think about. Occasionally I will deal with current issues and offer my insight. Sometimes I just sit down and write with no idea where I am going.     This is the New Serendipity! In the old Serendipity I had over 500 articles on every different topic known to man but due to technical difficulties beyond the capabilities of any living entity on planet earth, I am no longer able to access that site. Needless to say, I have endured a difficult time trying to rectify the issue with wordpress to no avail. So here I am, starting a NEW Serendipity site. I liked wordpress in the beginning when it was simple and easy to understand but like all things, it has changed to a large conglomerate of useless bullshit that makes it almost impossible to navigate. I talk to more and more people whose age ranges from 15 to 95 and the same complaint always arises. why do all these sites make it so difficult to do what should be easy???!!!

    So here we are in the 21st century and to the common observer it would seem that we are going to hell in a handbasket. Most environmentalist don’t give the earth long, or should I say, give the human race long to be here. There are so many calamities that could potentially exterminating much life on earth, it makes me want to become religious! Between the oceans rising, the ice caps melting, methyl hydrate coming up from the ocean bottom, dangerous chemicals in the air, water and food, hugh meteors circling through our local space and to top it off, infectious diseases that could wipe almost everyone off the planet.

    I/We are faced with a difficult challenge in our daily lives. We could all walk around with our heads bowed, frown securely placed on face, moaning “wow is me” or maybe we can start to make the changes that would allow our tiny planet to survive and maybe let us live here. There is no doubt we need to make some major changes to get to that star trek city of the future but, if we wish to survive, there are few strategic choices we need to make. We cannot continue to pollute the land, air and water!

    In my blog I will address many of these issues just like I did before in as straight forward approach. Many of these concepts are serious science and I will aim to bring them to a level that is understandable.
